"In recent years, the comic book genre has been applied to a wealth of graphic nonfiction for grownups, ranging from famous biographies to philosophy, but nowhere does the genre shine more exquisitely than in Freud a magnificent biography-as-graphic-novel of the founding father of psychoanalysis" Brain Pickings "Deftly told, Maier and Simon play endlessly with the medium in a very restrained way, allowing the idiosyncrasies of Freud s life to dominate."Comic Book Resources "Freud gets the comic biography treatment in this smart, illustrated book and we ve never seen such a cool, um, "analysis."" Bustle "The books scripts are breezy and considered, and deliver insight into both thinkers theories and personal lives without expanding on a personal agenda.
