Steve Martin (Wales, UK) is a writer, former English teacher, and author of numerous children's books on a wide range of subjects, including The Boys' Book of Adventure, Astronaut Academy, and Numberland. Essi Kimpimaki (Glasgow, UK) is a freelance illustrator and printmaker originally from the land of thousands of lakes, Finland, but currently based in Glasgow where she arrived in 2007 to study Illustration at Glasgow School of Art.
