Tim Hopgood worked as a graphic designer and freelance illustrator before turning his hand to children's books. HERE COMES FRANKIE won him the Best Emerging Illustrator category at the Early Years Awards 2008 and received critical acclaim. His first concept board book, Wow! Said The Owl, a first book of colours, was shortlisted for the Booktrust Early Years Award 2009 and was followed by Tip Tap Went the Crab, a first book of counting, and Hooray for Hoppy, a first book of senses. Tim is married with two children and lives in the centre of York.
