Description

In Dog Gone, Back Soon, Nick Trout returns to Eden Falls and the life of the appealingly awkward and eccentric veterinarian Dr. Cyrus Mills. After coming to terms with his difficult relationship with his father in The Patron Saint of Lost Dogs, Cyrus is now committed to saving The Bedside Manor for Sick Animals, the practice he inherited. But before he can do justice to the family legacy, there are more than a few obstacles standing in his way. First, Cyrus must lock horns with the national veterinary chain in the nearby town, Healthy Paws, whose ruthless and sneaky business manager, Guy Posener, will stop at nothing to crush Bedside Manor and run Cyrus out of town. One again, Cyrus finds himself the guardian of a lost dog - one whose unique talents land him smack in the middle of some small town drama. But most crucially, Cyrus has to compete with a handsome stranger who turns up unexpectedly...and clearly has a mysterious past with Cyrus's love interest, Amy. As with The Patron Saint of Lost Dogs, Dog Gone, Back Soon recounts one jam-packed week in Eden Falls. Cyrus has his work cut out for him: he needs to outsmart Guy, win back Amy's heart, find a lost dog a home, and find his way out of a case of mistaken identity - all while solving several tricky veterinary cases. Nick Trout's latest book is filled to the brim with captivating tales and intriguing characters, both two- and four-legged, and will delight readers and animal lovers alike.
