STONE OCTOPUS deals with conflict within three different families. The main character, Joe Marlow, is linked to two of those families (one in New Zealand, the other in Spain) and goes on an odyssey of self-discovery to Spain, the US and Italy. Hine Wairau's story runs parallel to Joe's but is as different as it is dramatic. This is a powerful story of love, hope and hatred.
