Author description

Michael Rosen is well-known as an author of children's books, a poet performer, broadcaster and scriptwriter. He has been involved in the production of more than one hundred books. He lectures at universities on children's literature, reading and writing, and he gives presentations to school children to encourage enthusiasm for books and poetry. Helen Oxenbury is a multi-award winning children's book illustrator, including having twice won and four times having been the runner-up for the Kate Greenaway Medal, the British librarians' award for illustration. Kawata Teepa (Tuhoe) has been a translator for fifteen years, carrying out translation work with the Ministry of Education, Te Kete Ipurangi, Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Maori, the New Zealand Translation Centre, Pacific Translations, and working on translations of Windows XP and Vista and translation contracts.
